BMW Gen 1 B58 Spool Exhaust Cam Fuel Lobe Mod Service | +40% HPFP

A mail-in service for Gen 1 B58 BMWs. Spool re-profiles the fuel pump lobe on your exhaust camshaft so the high pressure fuel pump delivers 40% more fuel.

Why you need it

On a direct-injection-only build, the high pressure pump is usually the limit. The modified cam profile gives the pump more lift. Paired with Spool's FX-200 pumps and IFX injectors, it can support more than 900 whp on full E85, and more than 1000 whp on E50 or less, without port injection.

How it works

• You send your exhaust camshaft in
• It is cleaned, the cam profile is modified on CNC live-tooling lathes, then polished and re-hardened
• The camshaft is shipped back, usually after about 2 business days of work

Good to know

Only compatible with Spool FX high pressure pumps. You will need to remove the exhaust camshaft and ship it in, so plan for the car to be off the road. Professional installation is recommended.
