Fitment & Ordering

How do I know if a tool fits my car?

Model name alone is often not enough, because European cars of the same model can use different engines and platforms from one year to the next. Confirm fitment by engine code and model year, and use your VIN if you are unsure. Check the product description against those details before ordering. If anything is unclear, send us your car's year, make, model and engine code through our contact page and we'll point you in the right direction.

Where do I find my engine code?

On many VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda models the engine code is printed on the vehicle data sticker, usually found in the spare-wheel well or in the service book. The code is also stamped on the engine block itself. Another option is to decode your VIN, which identifies the exact vehicle and the engine it left the factory with. Having the engine code ready makes choosing timing tools and engine-specific service tools much easier.

Can you check fitment using my VIN?

Yes. If you are not sure a tool is right for your car, send us your VIN along with the year, make, model and the tool you are looking at through our contact page. We'll check it and let you know what we find. Asking before you order is quicker for everyone than returning a tool that doesn't fit.

Which car brands do you carry tools for?

Our catalog is built for European cars: Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, SEAT/Cupra and Skoda. You can browse tools by manufacturer on our Shop by Brand page, or go straight to a collection such as Volkswagen, Audi or BMW, where you'll find model-specific collections as well.

Can you help me find a tool I don't see on the site?

Ask us. If you need a specific special tool for a job on a European car and can't find it in our catalog, send us the details through our contact page: the car's year, make, model and engine code, plus the job you're doing or the tool's part number if you have it. We'll let you know what we can do.

Shipping

When will my order ship?

Orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days. During peak periods, please allow up to 6 business days for dispatch. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number by email so you can follow it to your door. If you have a question about an order that has already been placed, include your order number when you contact us.

How long does delivery take?

Most orders arrive within 7–10 business days, and during busy periods delivery can take up to 20 business days. Estimated shipping times for the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe and worldwide destinations are listed on our Shipping Policy page. All shipping times are estimates and exclude customs clearance delays for international orders. Your tracking number, sent by email once the order ships, is the best way to follow your package.

Do you ship internationally, and who pays customs duties?

Yes, we ship to Canada, Australia, Europe and other destinations worldwide. International orders may be subject to customs duties and import taxes, which are the responsibility of the customer. For customers in the EU, prepaid duties and taxes may be available at checkout via DHL Express, so you can pay those costs upfront instead of on delivery. See our Shipping Policy for details.

What if my order hasn't arrived?

First check the tracking number we emailed when your order shipped. If your order hasn't arrived within 30 days of the estimated delivery date, contact us and we'll investigate with the carrier. If the package is confirmed lost, we'll send a replacement or issue a full refund. Please note we are not responsible for packages the carrier confirms as delivered to the address entered at checkout, but we'll provide tracking and carrier details to help you investigate.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, and there is no restocking fee. To start a return, contact us with your order number. The full terms, including international returns and the EU right of withdrawal, are in our Refund Policy.

What if my tool arrives damaged or defective?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos of the item and your order number. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund. All warranty, return and refund requests are handled directly by Wrench Haus, so you never need to contact a supplier or manufacturer yourself. Just reach out through our contact page.

How long do refunds take?

Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days back to your original payment method. For international orders, return shipping can be costly, so contact us before sending anything back; in many cases we can issue a full refund without requiring a physical return. Customers in the EU also have a 14-day right of withdrawal, described in our Refund Policy.

Tools & Guides

Do you have how-to guides for using your tools?

Yes. Our blog has step-by-step guides for common European car jobs, such as EA888 timing chain service, setting timing on an EA211 engine and bleeding a VW/Audi cooling system. Each guide covers the procedure and the tools the job calls for. Always follow the manufacturer's specifications for your engine.

Do you have an affiliate program?

Yes. The Wrench Haus Affiliate Program is free to join and has no follower minimum. You get a unique referral link and a discount code that gives your audience 10% off, and you earn 5% commission on sales made through either one. Commissions are paid monthly via PayPal for sales at least 30 days old. See the Affiliate Program Terms for details.
